Kathy Code is dedicated to environmental stewardship and sustainability. As Board Chair of our Ecoforestry Institute Society – the group that oversees and cares for Wildwood ecoforest, just north of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island – Kathy has worked tirelessly to maintain the integrity of this unique remnant of intact Coastal Douglas-fir ecosystem. As an MP, she would champion social justice, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, food security and environmental care and protection: all so much needed in these times of social and environmental upheaval.

The increases in carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere associated with devastation of our forests and wetlands as well as acidification of our oceans and other water bodies bodes a dire future for humanity. If you care about future generations then you need to vote for the Green Party in the coming election. It is clear that the Green Party is in no position to form the government, but, it is the moral conscience of parliament and, thereby, influential on decisions made in parliament.
The Cowichan-Malahat-Langford Green candidate is Kathy Code. Kathy will be an excellent Member of Parliament with her backgrounds in both economic policy development and in environmental issues. She is one of the principals that fought to keep Wildwood Ecoforest in the public domain so that future generations can enjoy and learn from a sustainable old growth forest and is very involved in protecting the old growth forests on the Island. Vote Green and you will be voting for the welfare of future generations.
